The LIFFL has been bringing NFL FLAG to boys and girls between 6 & 17 years old in the Town of Oyster Bay since 2000. In our next season, starting in September  2006, we will be expanding the Youth Program across Long Island! Summer practice camps will be offered in August. Played on a 30X60 yard field, there's no blocking, no kick-offs, no fumbles, no punts, in short, nothing to scare off today's stereotypical "soccer mom". Using a smaller football, there's a fixed 1st downs at the 15/30/15 yard lines, one rusher, and everyone is eligible to catch a pass. There are multiple divisions which are broken down by age and locality. Because there is no line play, practices will be minimal. All games will be played on Saturday or Sunday afternoons. The season will consist of 6 regular season games, play-offs, and a  Super Bowl for each local league, leading up to LONG ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT! Each child receives a NFL-team reversable jersey, flagbelt,   and certificate from NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue. All children will play at the field closest to home. The roster size is 10-14 children per team and is co-ed.
All games are on Saturday or Sunday afternoons, depending on field availability in your area. Special consideration will be given to placing friends on the same team for ride purposes. You may enter a full team of friends.  The cost is only $85 per child, the 3rd sibling is free.
